• ‘Advanced Format Aware’ with its support of hard disk drives that ship with 4K sectors enhancing customer flexibility and options when selecting their backup destination storage devices. Now, CA ARCserve D2D customers can backup to and restore from 4K sector disk drives.

• Email Notification is enhanced so it now sends Email alerts and notifications as ‘High Importance’ for all failed/crashed jobs. ‘Test Email’ button on the Email Settings dialog in the Preferences Settings. This button when clicked will send a test notification to users as confirmation that the configured email settings are correct.

• CA ARCserve D2D now allows you to reserve space on the backup destination. With this function users can set the percentage of space that needs to be reserved for the backup. Before the backup starts the specified amount of space is already reserved.
